Best Time To Visit Thailand: Thailand is visited by tourists throughout the year. Tourists pour from all over the world to Thailand. This is mainly because Thailand is quite friendly to the tourists, and the climate varies throughout the country. So, some regions and places are always pleasant to tourists. The best season to visit Thailand is, however, from November till early April. During this period rainfall is not there and skies are usually clear. From April onwards the heat gets oppressive and from June onwards rainy season begins in Thailand.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Bangkok – Phuket:
Bangkok International Airport Terminal Interior
On arrival at Bangkok International airport, transfer to take a domestic flight to Phuket.
On arrival in Phuket, check into a hotel or resort. Relish Thai dishes and enjoy lovely sunset at Patong Beach.
Overnight in Phuket.
Day 2: Phuket:
Spend the whole day in Phuket enjoying the fabulous beaches here. Swim in the pool, relax by the sea, try dishes at the eateries on the beach, enjoy some drinks, and if interested, try Jet Ski in the bay.
You can go for Phuket Fantasea on Kamala Beach. If not, check out the Phuket Playhouse cabaret show, in Patong, accompanied by dinner and cocktails.
Overnight in Phuket.
Day 3: Phuket:
Wat Phra Thong, Phuket
Set out to explore Phuket by a car or on a bike. Go to Kata Beach, which is situated in the southwest corner of the island.
Keep driving along several beaches in Phuket. You can have some fun on Karon, Patong and Kamala beaches. Drive up to the western coast. Look and admire the beauty of Nai Thon Beach.
After the beaches, head inland and visit Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. Make it a point to visit some other places on the island, including Heroines’ Monument and Wat Phra Thong. You can take a stroll along the beaches.
Overnight in Phuket.
Day 4: Day Trip to Ko Phi Phi:
Playa Maya, Phi Phi Island
Start the day with a visit to Ko Phi Phi. Almost every tour operator you find in Phuket organizes day trips to Ko Phi Phi. This is a couple of hours by boat from Phuket.
Karst outcrops can be seen rising from Maya bay. You can snorkel and explore the Bay at Phi Phi Leh , a small uninhabited island. This has been the place of film shootings in the past.
Phi Phi Don is the other stop. After a lunch here you can clamber up to the view point. Afterwards return to Phuket, and enjoy a nice dinner at one of the nice joints on one of the several beaches.
Overnight in Phuket.
Day 5: Phuket – Ko Samui:
A beach at Koh Samui Island
After breakfast check out and drive to the airport to take a flight to Ko Samui.
Check out the difference in sand and sea colour between Phuket and Koh Samui from the flight itself.
Landing at Koh Samui airport may give you a feeling as if you landed in Disneyland.
Drive to the hotel or resort you are booked into. Settle into your resort.
Enjoy a massage at the resort or go out walking in the afternoon along the beaches. Have a nice dinner at one of the several restaurants or resorts.
Overnight in Ko Samui.
Day 6: Ko Samui:
After breakfast, hire a car and start exploring the island’s ring road. Look at the phallic rocks, mummified monks, snake and monkey shows, waterfalls and elephants. Have a fun filled day.
Return after an exhausted day and go for a spa treatment at the resort you are staying. Or else you can opt for Tamarind Springs on the Lamai Beach. This is quite a popular choice for spa treatment in Koh Samui.
Have a nice dinner in the evening at one of the beaches and retire to your room afterwards. Overnight in Koh Samui.
Day 7: Ko Samui:
Ang Thong Marine National Park
After breakfast set out for a tour of the Ang Thong Marine National Park. This is an immensely beautiful area. You can go and paddle a kayak through turquoise waters of the bay. Go and scramble to the top of a hill for a breathtaking view.
Return after the day trip to the Marine National Park exhausted. To rejuvenate opt for a round of spa treatment at one of the many spas or at the resort you are staying. Have a nice dinner at your resort or walk along to the beach to eat at any one of the many places. If you want to party around, you can find some nice places.
Overnight in Koh Samui.
Day 8: Ko Samui – Bangkok:
After breakfast drive to the airport and take the flight to Bangkok. From there you can proceed for your desired destination.
