Day 1: Arrive in Koraput

Take train to Koraput. Check into a comfortable accommodation on reaching Koraput. Enjoy nice food and take rest. Send the evening at the local market (Hata) to shop tribal beads, Dokra artefacts and local produce. Try local tribal cuisine and millets.

Day 2: Koraput sightseeing

Day 4: Koraput to Araku Valley (by road or train)

After breakfast, check out from your accommodation, and set off for Araku Valley, a drive of around 80–90 km south-east of Koraput.  This is a scenic route that crosses forested ghat roads and coffee plantations. You also have the option to take a picturesque train ride. There is a Vistadome/heritage train on this route. This is famous for glass-panelled views of the Ghats.
